Not sure if this fits here, but seeing as my family celebrate christmas I just have to get it off my chest =)
It is commonplace to celebrate christmas in Denmark, regardless of faith, as it has more to do with culture than anything else, besides, we call it Yule, (whether that is acceptable is a talk for another time). However, what I do have a problem with is the part where we gather around the tree and sing psalms... As such, they are nothing more than traditional songs, but they are still about "the lord" and all that bullshit, and it really bothers me.
What would you do in my case? I'm seriously considering not celebrating the holidays the next year...
